Deepening Industry–Education Integration and Building a Talent-Development Platform | The School of Life Sciences and Medicine Visited Shaoxing Jiayun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. for Enterprise Outreach and Job Expansion, as well as for University–Enterprise Cooperation and Exchange

On the afternoon of September 3, 2025, the School of Life Science and Medicine at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University visited Shaoxing Jiayun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to conduct enterprise visits for job expansion and engage in university–enterprise cooperation. The two parties held in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, research collaboration, and internship opportunities.

Zhou Zhengbing, General Manager of Shaoxing Jiayun Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; Jia Daihong, Deputy General Manager; Xiao Yuanjun, Director of the Office; Dai Binbin, alumnus of the 2013 class in Biotechnology and R&D Department Manager; Zhong Bo, alumnus of the 2025 class in Biology and R&D Engineer; and Tian Qi, alumnus of the 2025 class in Biology and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Quality Engineer; along with Shou Mengji, Director of the Office of External Relations (Alumni Affairs Office) at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University; Chen Lizhen, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Life Science and Medicine; Zhang Shanshan, Deputy Secretary; Professors Lü Zhengbing and Bao Kangde; Ge Linghua, Director of the Student Affairs Office; and Li Siqiang, Director of the Alumni Liaison Center, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Xiao Yuanjun, Director of the Office of Shaoxing Jiayun Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

At the outset of the meeting, Shou Mengji, Director of the Office of External Relations (Alumni Affairs) at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, presented a letter of appreciation on behalf of the university, expressing sincere gratitude for the enterprise’s longstanding support of the institution’s development.

In his address, Chen Lizhen, Secretary of the College Party Committee, recalled the company’s generous initiative last year to establish the “Jiayun Science and Technology Award and Scholarship” at our institution, and highlighted the remarkable achievements the college has attained since its founding in 2004 in areas such as discipline development, talent cultivation, and scientific research. He emphasized that this visit serves both as a return visit to express gratitude and as an opportunity to propel bilateral cooperation into a new phase. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that the two sides will establish a regular exchange mechanism to advance all‑round, multi‑level collaboration, deepen industry‑education integration, jointly cultivate high‑quality talent, strengthen research partnerships to achieve collaborative innovation, and put in place long‑term mechanisms for mutually beneficial development.

General Manager Zhou Zhengbing extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and highly commended the college’s achievements in talent development and scientific research innovation. He stated that supporting education is akin to nurturing seeds, and expressed his gratitude for the talented individuals the university has cultivated, who have bolstered the company’s innovative growth. He looked forward to leveraging this collaboration as a new starting point to further expand opportunities for complementary resource sharing and mutually beneficial outcomes between the university and the enterprise.

Subsequently, Jia Daihong and Zhang Shanshan signed the agreement establishing a university student internship and practice base and held a plaque‑presentation ceremony. Zhou Zhengbing and Bao Kangde jointly unveiled the plaque for the industry–education integration base, marking the entry of school–enterprise collaborative education into a new phase.

In addition, the company has appointed Professor Lü Zhengbing as Chief Scientist and Professor Bao Kangde as Chief Compliance Officer, further expanding its research collaboration and high-level talent-sharing mechanisms, thereby laying a solid foundation for the deep integration of industry, academia, and research.

During the panel discussion, representatives from the university and the enterprise engaged in lively exchanges on cutting-edge technologies in the biopharmaceutical field, student employment, and internship opportunities, jointly exploring new avenues for “win-win collaboration between academia and industry and co‑development of talent.” Alumni reminisced about their academic and campus life, expressing deep gratitude for the scholarly guidance and practical support they received from their mentors.

Following the meeting, a delegation from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, accompanied by company representatives, toured the company’s R&D center and production lines, gaining an in-depth understanding of its technological strengths and current development status.

This collaboration not only provides students with a higher‑quality platform for internships and practical experience, expanding employment opportunities, but also further advances the integration of university–enterprise resources and the leveraging of complementary strengths, injecting new momentum into the high‑quality development of the regional economy and industrial innovation.
