Social Scholarship Award Ceremony

To inspire outstanding students, pool resources for holistic education, and deepen collaboration between the university and enterprises, the 2025 Annual Social Donation Scholarship Award Ceremony of the College of Life Sciences and Medicine was solemnly held on the afternoon of January 15, 2026, in the lecture hall on the first floor of the Administration Building. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the scholarship‑donating companies: Zhou Zhengbing, legal representative, executive director, and manager of Shaoxing Jiayun Biotechnology Co., Ltd.; Cheng Hanlei, general manager of Dalian Cheng Hanlei Food Co., Ltd.; Zhang Jiarui, general manager of Zhejiang Danrui Technology Co., Ltd.; Chen Ping, human resources manager of Hangzhou Aosheng Instrument Co., Ltd.; Shou Mengji, director of the University’s Office of External Relations (Alumni Affairs); Chen Lizhen, Party Secretary of the College of Life Sciences and Medicine; Sun Cong, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs; Professor Lü Zhengbing; as well as college counselors and student representatives who received awards. The ceremony was chaired by Zhang Shanshan, Deputy Secretary of the College’s Party Committee.

In his address, Chen Lizhen, Secretary of the College’s Party Committee, extended sincere gratitude to all the donating enterprises and provided a brief overview of the college’s achievements in recent years. He emphasized that the support from these enterprises demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility to give back to society and advance education, injecting powerful momentum into the college’s efforts to deepen industry–university–research collaboration. He expressed his hope that, moving forward, the college will further strengthen cooperation with enterprises in areas such as talent development, scientific research and innovation, and the establishment of long-term mechanisms, thereby contributing together to the growth of the regional economy and the greater health sector. At the same time, he encouraged the award-winning students to cherish their honors, build a solid foundation, remain committed to innovation, and strive to become leading talents in the field of life sciences.

During the awards ceremony, Sun Cong, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the college, announced the list of recipients of the 2025 socially donated scholarships. Representatives from each sponsoring enterprise presented honorary certificates to the winning students.

Yin Yilian, a student representative and a member of the 2024 cohort in the Marine Resource Development Technology program, shared her reflections on personal growth. She recounted her journey—from initial unfamiliarity upon entering the laboratory to gradually engaging in research, achieving consistent success in competitions, and maintaining academic excellence. She emphasized that this scholarship is not only an honor and a source of encouragement but also a call to action and a reminder to stay true to her original aspirations in scientific inquiry, working steadily and persistently over the long term. On behalf of all the award recipients, she expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donating enterprise and urged her fellow students to reciprocate the support through concrete actions and to forge ahead with dedication and perseverance.

To express our gratitude for the company’s support and trust, Shou Mengji Director and Chen Lizhen The secretary jointly presented banners to each donating organization, while student representatives handed over letters of gratitude on the spot.

The college also appointed corporate representatives on-site as “Student Development Mentors,” further establishing a long-term mechanism for collaborative education between the university and enterprises, and fostering the deep integration of educational and social resources.

Following the award ceremony, representatives from enterprises, college leaders, faculty members, and student representatives convened in Conference Room 217 of the Administration Building for an in-depth discussion on internship and employment opportunities, career development, and related topics.

Social‑donated scholarships embody enterprises’ deep commitment to education and reflect their earnest hopes for the growth and success of the younger generation. This event is not merely a ceremony of recognition; it is also a vivid lesson in gratitude and an opportunity for meaningful dialogue between universities and businesses. The College of Life Sciences and Medicine will continue to expand its partnerships with society, integrate educational resources, and support students’ all‑round development, cultivating more outstanding talents who can contribute to national strategies and the cause of life and health.
